Overview

About AdBlue®

AdBlue® is a vital component for the proper functioning of advanced pollution control technology known as Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), which is installed in the exhaust systems of many commercial vehicles. It is a clear and non-toxic liquid consisting of a 32.5% urea solution in deionized water. Unlike diesel fuel, AdBlue® is not a fuel or a fuel additive.

The purpose of AdBlue® is to help reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines by converting nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor. This process occurs through a chemical reaction that takes place within the SCR system.

AdBlue meets high-quality standards and is manufactured in accordance with the DIN 70070 and ISO 22241 specifications. These standards ensure that the solution is produced to a consistent and reliable level of purity, ensuring its effectiveness in reducing emissions.

It is important to note that AdBlue® does not damage the environment and is safe to handle. It plays a crucial role in meeting stringent emission regulations and promoting cleaner air quality. Commercial vehicles equipped with SCR technology rely on AdBlue® to comply with these regulations and minimize their impact on the environment.

In summary, AdBlue® is a clear, non-toxic liquid composed of a 32.5% urea solution in deionized water. It is not a fuel or fuel additive but a necessary component for the proper operation of SCR technology in commercial vehicles. AdBlue® helps reduce harmful emissions, meets high-quality standards, and contributes to a cleaner and greener transportation sector.
